Atlanta Falcons head coach Kevin Stefanski is preparing his team for a new set of problems this Sunday in Madrid, shifting focus from weather to the Cincinnati Bengals' dynamic offense.

The Falcons lost 16-0 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week in heavy rain. Quarterback Michael Penix Jr. threw four interceptions in that game, and the Buccaneers held Atlanta scoreless despite having no completed passes.

Stefanski told reporters that the league presents different challenges each week. He said the rain in Florida was a specific issue that has passed, but facing Joe Burrow and the Bengals requires a different kind of preparation.

"It’s just a different deal when you go up against Joe Burrow and this offense and what they’re capable of doing and how they play," Stefanski said. "It’s definitely one that you have to be prepared for and it’s why we’re working so hard."

Burrow had a strong performance against the Tennessee Titans last week. He threw five touchdown passes and ran for a score in overtime to lead a 43-36 victory. Burrow passed for 462 yards, marking his second game this season with over 400 passing yards.

The Bengals' receiving corps remains a major threat. Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins combined for more than 100 receiving yards in the same game for the fourth time since 2021. Higgins caught 10 passes for 155 yards and two touchdowns, while Chase had 11 receptions for 141 yards and one score.

Falcons safety Xavier Watts said the defense looks to limit explosive plays and disrupt the opponent's rhythm. Stefanski said the offense is eager to return to its usual form after the shutout, expressing confidence in the players and coaches as they aim for weekly improvement.
