President Donald Trump will hold two final campaign events in Iowa and Kansas on Sunday, October 31. These stops come two days before the midterm elections on Tuesday, November 3. The Republican Party has confirmed the schedule. Trump is set to begin at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time, which is 2:00 p.m. Central Time, at the Five Flags Center in Dubuque, Iowa. He will then travel to the Salina, Kansas regional airport for an 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time, or 7:00 p.m. Central Time, rally.

The President initially canceled these appearances but reversed the decision at the last minute. He won Iowa three times and Kansas twice during his tenure. He is attempting to deliver a final push for the Republican ticket in both states. These specific Senate races are considered essential for the GOP to maintain its majority in the chamber.

Recent polling data suggests tight contests in both locations. A Marist poll indicates that Iowa Republican Representative Ashley Hinson is trailing Democrat Josh Turek by three points. In Kansas, Democrat Adam Hamilton has taken a narrow lead over incumbent Republican Roger Marshall for the first time.

House Speaker Mike Johnson, a Republican from Louisiana, expressed confidence in the party's chances despite the polls. "I’ve seen the voters on the ground. I’m telling you, the polls are wrong. They’re inaccurate. They’re underrepresenting Republicans," Johnson said.

Historical records show Iowa last sent a Democrat to the Senate in 2008. Kansas has not elected a Democrat to that body in nearly a century. Trump’s current approval rating stands at approximately 34%, according to the latest Quinnipiac poll. The impact of his presence on the Republican candidates will become clear on Election Day.
