President Donald Trump told Fox News on Tuesday that Republican candidates are positioned to outperform expectations in the midterms.

In a telephone interview, the president stated that results would be better than most observers anticipate. He attributed this optimism to the energy generated by his recent campaign events.

Trump emphasized the impact of his 30 day touring schedule. He claimed that stadiums were filled with record numbers of attendees. He described the enthusiasm and love for the country as tremendous during these gatherings.

The president argued that his rallies would have a major effect on the vote count that evening. He asserted that the United States is in its best moment, contrasting the nation with Europe, which he described as collapsing.

Trump criticized Democratic candidates as lunatics of the radical left. He said the country is the most respected in the world and must maintain that status. He warned that this respect depends on keeping the radical left out of power.

Before the election, Trump said he would accept the outcome if the process was clean. He added that he would find a way to work with the opposition, though he stated on Monday that he would veto bills not aligned with his agenda. The Republican expressed doubts about the security of the electoral system despite assurances from experts.

His administration deployed roughly 1,000 observers for the first time in U.S. history. The Department of Justice called this the largest election observation operation in its history. Trump planned to watch the results from the White House.

Polls show Trump’s approval rating hovering near minimums. Inflation stands at 3.7 percent, and fuel prices have risen due to the war with Iran. Candidates continued campaigning until polls closed, with several holding events on Tuesday to mobilize voters.
