Voters in Brevard County, Florida, will use new addresses for Election Day after extreme flooding damaged several facilities. The Brevard County Supervisor of Elections Office announced the temporary changes on Monday, November 3, to protect staff and residents.

Ten specific precincts are affected by the relocations. Precincts 307, 512, and 525, previously at Max K. Rodes Park Community Center, will now vote at New Shiloh Christian Center. Precinct 309, formerly at Veterans Memorial Complex, has also moved to New Shiloh Christian Center.

Four additional precincts have shifted to two other locations. Precinct 306, which was at Eddie Lee Taylor Sr. Community Center, is now at Joseph N. Davis Community Center. Precincts 323 and 509, previously at Front Street Civic Center, are also moving to Joseph N. Davis Community Center.

Precinct 517 will move from Faith Baptist Church of Palm Bay to Palm Bay City Hall Council Chambers. Meanwhile, Precincts 320, 513, and 522 are leaving the EFSC Palm Bay Community Dining Room for the Franklin T. DeGroodt Memorial Library.

Tim Bobanic, the Brevard County Supervisor of Elections, stated in a news release that the moves are necessary for the safety and security of election workers and voters due to the circumstances. Officials indicated that further changes are possible and directed residents to check votebrevard.org for updates.

Polling hours remain unchanged from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. County officials advise voters to allow extra travel time to reach their new sites.
