Graham Media Group is hiring a news producer for WKMG-TV in Orlando to produce live local newscasts and content for the station's digital platforms, according to a job posting dated Oct. 27. The role covers live television broadcasts, curated local news for News 6+, the station's connected-TV and digital streaming service, and ClickOrlando.com, which the posting describes as one of the largest audiences of unique visitors in Central Florida.

The producer will also influence how reporters, anchors, and other newsroom staff develop local stories and present those stories across platforms, the posting states. The position involves helping drive breaking news across platforms, and candidates must be willing to work outside scheduled hours when breaking news or station efforts require it.

Candidates must have prior experience producing in at least two newsrooms and must be comfortable working in a live news control room. The posting lists a sharp, conversational writing style, the ability to work under deadline pressure with frequent changes, and a fast learning curve with new technology among the requirements. Multi-skilled candidates with experience shooting, editing, streaming, and planning are preferred, along with applicants who can verify sources and communicate information accurately.

The posting also lists proficiency in multiple newsroom and digital content management systems and a college degree in journalism as bonus qualifications. Graham Media Group is offering competitive pay and benefits for the role.

Applicants should submit resumes with links to video of their producing work to WKMGcareers@wkmg.com. Candidates who reach the interview stage will be required to take a writing test. WKMG-TV, part of Graham Media Group, is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and any offer of employment is conditional on completion of a pre-employment drug screening, investigative background check, employment and education verifications, and reference checks.

The posting describes the market as Orlando, Market #14. Graham Media Group did not respond to a request for comment.
