Five North County girls flag football teams are one victory away from the CIF San Diego Section championship, with semifinal games taking place Tuesday, Nov. 3.

In the Open Division, eighth-seeded Carlsbad plays No. 4 Torrey Pines at 7 p.m. The Lancers earned their berth by defeating top-seeded San Marcos 34-7. In the second Open Division match, seventh-seeded Classical Academy visits No. 3 Helix at 7 p.m. Classical Academy defeated second-seeded Bonita Vista 25-20, while Helix advanced past Mission Hills 12-6.

A win Tuesday would set up a final between Carlsbad and Classical Academy. The Open Division championship game is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7.

In Division I, third-seeded La Costa Canyon visits No. 2 Scripps Ranch at 6 p.m. The Mavericks advanced after beating Mater Dei Catholic 26-21. On the other side of the bracket, Cathedral Catholic plays Granite Hills. The Division I final is set for 4 p.m. on Saturday.

In Division II, No. 3 Escondido Charter hosts No. 10 Poway at 6 p.m. The White Tigers defeated Valley Center 38-8 in the prior round. Poway arrives with two upset victories, including a 13-7 win over second-seeded Grossmont. Mission Bay plays Vincent Memorial in the remaining Division II semifinal. The Division II championship game is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday.

In Division IV, No. 12 Oceanside visits Santana at 6 p.m. The Pirates have won three straight playoff games, defeating Orange Glen, El Cajon Valley, and Liberty Charter. Santana advanced by beating top-seeded Rancho Buena Vista 20-19. Imperial visits El Capitan at 7 p.m. in the other Division IV match. The Division IV final is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Saturday.

All championship games will be held at Olympian High School on Saturday, Nov. 7. Division III games are set for noon, featuring O’Farrell Charter at Patrick Henry and Santa Fe Christian at Westview. Results and schedules are available through the CIF San Diego Section brackets.
