Hobart/Lawrence Police Department records released Friday night disclose that several women contacted officers following the May 2026 arrest of Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs. The department provided the documents in response to a public records request, which NBC 26 in Green Bay first reported. The files contain detailed accounts of alleged physical altercations that Jacobs did not report at the time they occurred.
Jacobs pleaded no contest on Sept. 10 to misdemeanor charges of battery and criminal damage to property. His arrest on May 26 followed an incident on May 23 where a woman stated he threw her to the ground. The newly available records include statements from three other women who described their own experiences with the running back.
One woman told police she contacted them after Jacobs' arrest to report an incident she initially dated to 2023. She later corrected the date to Jan. 5, 2022. The woman said she spent approximately 11 hours at Jacobs' home after communicating with him for six months. She alleged that after telling Jacobs she had not come for sex, he slapped her face and told her not to disrespect him.
The woman said Jacobs took her phone and threw it into a swimming pool when she tried to leave. She further stated that he grabbed her hair, threw her onto a bed, pinned her down, and threw her to the floor. She reported that he spat on her and said, “I should kill you right now.” She said she did not report the incident earlier because she remained friends with Jacobs and feared her allegations would not be believed.
Another woman described an April 2021 encounter where she alleged Jacobs removed her from a residence by grabbing her arms and pushing her against a wall. She said he threw her belongings out and that she sustained bruises on her arms and swelling in her rib area. Hobart/Lawrence police noted that officers at the scene observed no visible signs of injury, bruising, or damage consistent with a physical altercation.
A third woman said she met Jacobs through social media and flew to a residence in May 2022. She described an incident where he grabbed her hair, held her head and neck, dragged her, and scratched her chest. She said he took her phone after it fell to the floor. The woman stated she did not report the incident because she was not a U.S. citizen at the time and Jacobs told her she could be deported.
The records also provided additional details regarding the May 23 incident that led to Jacobs' arrest. The criminal complaint filed in August noted the woman said Jacobs grabbed her as she exited a garage door, causing her to hit her head. She stated he took her phone while she was on the ground and later pinned her on a bed with his body weight on her chest. She said she put her hand over her mouth and nose and felt she could not breathe. She also indicated she believed she lost consciousness briefly in the garage.
Jacobs has played two games for the Packers since being removed from the commissioner's exempt list in August. The NFL placed him on that list after charges were filed, causing him to miss the first six games of the season. The league continues to investigate the incident and may impose further discipline on the three-time Pro Bowl running back.
