Three women have provided accounts to police regarding prior incidents with Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs. The Hobart-Lawrence Police Department in Wisconsin released these records on Friday night following a public records request. The documents detail allegations made years before Jacobs was arrested in May.

Jacobs pleaded no contest on Sept. 10 to misdemeanor charges of battery and criminal damage to property. Those charges stemmed from an altercation with his then-girlfriend on May 26. Police said she alleged he threw her to the ground near a garage door and took her phone. Surveillance footage from the garage corroborated her statement. Jacobs has been off the commissioner’s exempt list since early in the season and returned to play in the team’s last two games.

The newly released records outline three separate incidents. One woman said an incident occurred on Jan. 5, 2022, after a six-month communication period. She claimed Jacobs slapped her and threw her phone into a pool when she tried to leave. Another woman described an April 2021 incident where Jacobs pushed her against a wall after a broken condom. Police records for that specific incident noted officers saw no visible signs of injury. A third woman said Jacobs flew her to a residence in May 2022 and grabbed her by the hair during an altercation.

Lawyers for Jacobs, including David Z. Chesnoff, Richard A. Schonfeld and Clarence F. Duchac III, issued statements over the weekend. They called the new accounts old, hearsay, and easily disproven. The lawyers noted that the Brown County District Attorney’s office had these uncorroborated allegations for months. They stated Jacobs kept evidence supporting his accounts and the NFL’s previous decision that no action was warranted for one of the claims.

The NFL said its investigation into Jacobs is ongoing. League spokesman Brian McCarthy said Saturday that the team would review the newly released allegations. Jacobs’ lawyers said one woman made a claim to the NFL that was reviewed and deemed to require no action. Another woman made a claim only after Jacobs called Las Vegas police to his home. Jacobs played for the Las Vegas Raiders before joining the Packers in 2024.

The women told police they did not report the earlier incidents for various reasons. One remained friends with Jacobs afterward, while another was not a U.S. citizen at the time. Jacobs’ lawyers said the third woman contacted him to visit and stayed at his home in Las Vegas, with another person present for part of the stay. The lawyers said Jacobs is answering the claims in detail because of character attacks threatening his career.
