Ubisoft stated on Friday that it has no other Assassin's Creed remakes in active development, ending speculation that additional classic titles were being rebuilt. The company confirmed that its teams are focusing instead on the next chapter of the franchise, including projects that have not yet been revealed. This decision follows the successful launch of Black Flag Resynced, which fueled rumors that the studio had greenlit multiple remake projects to capitalize on the trend.

While no remakes are currently in the pipeline, Ubisoft indicated that the door remains open for future revisits of older titles. The company stated it will keep exploring opportunities to bring previous games back, though it did not specify if this would involve remakes, remasters, or re-releases for newer hardware. For the immediate future, the studio's priority lies with Assassin's Creed Hexe and other original, unannounced projects.

Ubisoft also provided details regarding Codename Invictus, a multiplayer spin-off that has been in development for several years. Following a private test session where players evaluated a prototype, the company reported positive feedback. According to Ubisoft, participants particularly enjoyed the parkour and verticality of the maps, the dynamic teamplay, and the chance to play as various Assassin's Creed characters with their own skills and playstyles. The game currently lacks a release window.

Regarding Assassin's Creed Hexe, Ubisoft described the project as making steady progress on what it terms a darker Assassin's Creed experience. The company did not address recent reports concerning the game's development, which earlier this year indicated that both the creative director and game director had left Ubisoft, while other developers were reassigned to different projects. Ubisoft has promised a proper update on Hexe in 2027.

The studio plans to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the franchise throughout 2027 with reveals, updates, rewards, and community moments. Black Flag Resynced has received a final update that adds a New Game+ and a new Nightmare difficulty mode. Additionally, a New Game+ update for the 2020 title Assassin's Creed Valhalla is scheduled for release on November 5.
