FC Barcelona heads the 2026-27 UEFA Women's Champions League table as Matchday 3 begins on Wednesday. The club enters the round with a perfect record, having won its first two matches. They face a tough test in Denmark, where HB Koge seeks to maintain its recent momentum.

Barcelona defeated Paris FC 5-2 in the opening match and crushed Roma 6-0 in the second round. The squad carries significant momentum after receiving multiple awards at the Ballon d'Or ceremony on Monday. Manager Pere Romeu was named women's coach of the year, while Vicky Lopez won best young talent and Cata Coll took home best goalkeeper. The club also received the best club award.

Alexia Putellas, who now plays for London City Lionesses, won the women's Ballon d'Or. The honor recognized her performance during her final season with Barcelona. The voting period covered the span from August 2025 to July 2026. Barcelona's attack features several key players, including Lopez, Claudia Pina, Kerolin, and Ewa Pajor.

Pajor holds the record for the most goals in the Champions League group and league phases. She has scored 18 goals in the current format. Her team travels to HB Koge on Thursday at 4 p.m. ET. The Danish side defeated Servette 5-1 in its most recent match, marking its first win of the tournament.

Other high-profile matches are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday. Chelsea hosts Roma at 1:45 p.m. ET on Wednesday. Bayern Munich faces Real Madrid at the same time. Arsenal plays Benfica at 4 p.m. ET, and OL Lyonnes takes on Inter at 4 p.m. ET.

OL Lyonnes made a strong start with an 8-0 victory over Servette. Melchie Dumornay scored two goals, and Marie-Antoinette Katoto scored three in that match. However, the team was shut out by Chelsea in the second round. Chelsea goalkeeper Hannah Hampton played a key role in that result. Lyonnes now faces Inter, which has one win and one draw.

Bayern Munich enters the match against Real Madrid after a mixed start. The German side drew with Manchester City in the opening round and beat Benfica 3-0 in the second. Veteran striker Pernille Harder scored her 50th UEFA Women's Champions League goal in that victory. She is the fourth player in history to reach that milestone.

Real Madrid has drawn in its first two matches. Linda Caicedo and Felicia Schroder have shown strong form in attack. A win for either team on Wednesday could alter their standing at the halfway point of the league phase. Four rounds of play remain before the knockout playoffs in February.

Paris Saint-Germain faces Manchester City on Thursday at 4 p.m. ET. PSG started slowly with a 1-1 draw against Real Madrid but followed it with a five-goal win over OH Leuven. Manchester City is still searching for its first victory of the tournament. Arsenal also faces Benfica on Wednesday, looking to improve its record against a talented opponent.
